The Manager, National Breastfeeding Co-ordinating Unit will be responsible for achieving the goals of the National Breastfeeding Policy. The incumbent will lead intersectoral and sub-national collaboration to implement sustainable breastfeeding friendly initiatives throughout society.

Develop and coordinate activities of Mental Health Programme in accordance with polices and procedures established by the Ministry of Health and provide technical advice to the Chief Medical Officer and the Regional Health Authority.

The Manager, Medical Research and Audit is responsible for co-ordinating and managing research and audit workload assignments related to women’s health and perinatal and neonatal health care.

The incumbent manages the Entomological Unit within the Insect Vector Control Division.

The Manager, Change Management is responsible for facilitating and managing the change programme of the Ministry of Health; championing the Integrated Change and Transformation Management Strategy and Plan.

Assists the Director, Finance and Accounts, in the achievement of the Directorate’s objectives by establishing and maintaining cost monitoring systems for use in developing budgets, and comparative cost analyses for use in all areas of health care.

Highly responsible professional and administrative work in the field of medicine (haematology).

The incumbent is responsible for monitoring the maternal and child health activities hospitals, clinics and other health care facilities to ensure that policies and protocols are followed and initiates health promotion activities aimed at preventing and reducing the incidence of HIV transmission from mother to child.

The Breastfeeding Training Coordinator will be responsible for promoting breastfeeding through training other healthcare professionals in breastfeeding practices. The incumbent will assist the Manager to coordinate breastfeeding health education sessions throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

The incumbent in this position would be responsible for providing advice and support in planning for and implementing strategies to meet and satisfy the human resource needs of the health sector.
