To provide assistance to the Manager- Mental Health in the co-ordination of projects, work plans and training sessions

To provide support to the Manager- Mental Health in the execution of data collection and analysis activities

The incumbent supervises all blood bank laboratory activities. Work involves supervising and training of laboratory staff and providing technical assistance where necessary. Work is performed with considerable independence under the supervision of the Medical Director.

The incumbent performs advanced laboratory procedures. Work involves supervision and training of junior colleagues. Participation in the administrative aspects of the laboratory’s work and quality management is expected.

The incumbent performs basic and routine blood banking tests under supervision. Assignments are received from a senior who indicates the nature of tests to be performed and provides additional training and guidance where required.

Performs moderately difficult organic and analytical chemical tests.

The incumbent reports to the Medical Laboratory Technologist and performs basic tasks necessary for the smooth running of the laboratory. These would be done under the supervision of the Medical Laboratory Technologists and the Medical Director.

The incumbent provides support in the management of the Entomological Unit within the Insect Vector Control Division.

An employee in this class is responsible for the administration of the Queen’s Park Counselling Centre and Clinic and Field Clinics. He administers medical treatment to patients in the specialist field of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, HIV/AIDS.

The Manager, Tobacco Control Unit is responsible for setting strategic direction, leading, directing, and monitoring the activities
of a cadre of staff to ensure national compliance with the Tobacco Control Act and implementation of a National Tobacco Control Programme.
