The Technical Director will be responsible for the implementation of the Ministry's Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) initiatives inclusive of monitoring the many facets of the construction, refurbishment and modernization of the community centres/facilities executed by various contractors to ensure compliance with the regulatory bodies/agencies.

The incumbent will be responsible for the technical work relating to construction and refurbishment projects as well as assisting in monitoring the timely execution and completion of physical infrastructure projects in the Ministry.

The Sites/Land Manager will be required to ensure the timely regularization of title to all lands being used for the programme, including lands to be acquired, lands already in use for community centres and lands in dispute.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to supervise and participate in the preparation of bills of quantity for buildings and related civil engineering projects. Work includes the valuation of work-in-progress awarded by contract and preparation of certificates authorizing interim payments and settlement of final accounts.

The Incumbent will be required to develop and implement the Ministry’s research agenda by collecting, analyzing and disseminating information, for use in planning and policy formulation, in a timely manner.
